Katherine Nelson is an accomplished and engaging counsellor with more than 10 years of professional experience in the field of mental health and specialises in providing psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
She is a dedicated, warm and empathetic counsellor who provides a compassionate and supportive environment to promote healing and growth. She is positive, approachable and builds a strong therapeutic relationship with each client, and is committed to developing effective strategies to address a wide variety of concerns. Through exploring areas of worry in life and seeking insight into the underlying issues and impacts, she will help you navigate the conditions that make change for the better possible.
As a clinical counsellor, Katherine Nelson practices in psychological therapy with practical and usable tools accompanied with visual aides to assist the client with maximum results.
Katherine also offers supervision to peers in mental and allied health professions. Katherine is the Gold Coast’s Australian Counselling Association (ACA) Professional Development Convenor. Where Katherine hosts and organises the monthly chapters at the Robina Anglican Church on the 1st Saturday of each month, where support, education and networking are offered to all the Gold Coast clinicians.
As one of the Board Directors for The Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Katherine is dedicated to co-navigating the direction forward for all its counselling & psychotherapy members and place within the communities.
